This tutorial shows you how to use the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) integration in Flawless POS system to streamline the process of receiving diamonds in Merchandise.
The guide begins with how to use the GIA import during the 'Select Products' step of the Merchandise Receive process. It then elaborates on the three ways to utilize GIA import - bulk creating items, creating a single item, and importing an Excel file.
In the bulk creation process, the user can create items using a SKU template specific to diamonds. By clicking the GIA Lookup button and entering the GIA Number, product details are auto-filled. For creating a single item, similar steps are followed, but under 'Create New Item' instead of 'Bulk Create Items'.
The third method, importing from an Excel file, involves loading data into the POS system from a specifically formatted spreadsheet. This method is useful for importing multiple items at once. The spreadsheet should contain two new mapping columns to identify the Certification number and Certification lab.
