In this article, we will walk through how to activate location-based timekeeping for employee clock-ins and clock-outs in Flawless POS. This feature ensures that employees are within a certain distance of the store location when clocking in or out. Follow the steps below to configure this feature.

Please note that the location will have to be allowed by the device. By default it will prompt, but in the case where it does not, please review the appropriate link below in order to enable location services for you site.
How to Enable Location Services for Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Android/iOS Devices | GPS Setting
Step 1: Access the Admin Panel
Open the left navigation menu.
Expand the Store menu option.
Click on the Admin menu option.
Enter your security code to unlock the available admin functions.
Step 2: Set the Store Coordinates
Expand the Store section within the Admin Panel. For this example, we will be using the store named Iron Forge Jewelry.
Locate the Latitude and Longitude fields. These fields store the exact coordinates of your store.
Update the store’s address to automatically populate these fields with the coordinates.
Step 3: Enable Location Requirement for Clock-Ins
Go to the Account Tab within the Admin Panel.
Select the Store tab within the Account Configuration Widget.
Find the configuration setting labeled Indicates Require GEO Location For Clockin. You may find this field at the bottom of the Store Tab.
In the Value field, enter “true” to activate the location requirement for clock-ins.
Step 4: Test Clocking In and Out with Location Services
Open the left navigation menu.
Expand the Store menu option and click on Clock in or Out.
Press the Clock In button and then Clock Out to complete a shift recording with location coordinates.
Step 5: View Employee Timekeeping Reports
Open the left navigation menu.
Scroll to the bottom and click on the Reports menu item.
Select All Reports and enter your Admin security code to access the reports.
Navigate to the Store tab.
In the search bar, type Employee Time Breakdown and select it once it appears.
The report will display:
Date: Date of the clock-in and clock-out.
Store Name: The store where the employee recorded their time.
Employee Name: The name of the employee.
Timesheet Information: Details of the time recorded.
Clock-In Distance and Clock-Out Distance: Distance from the store location at the time of clocking in and out.
Click on any distance value to view the location on Google Maps.
Optional: Use the Distance Filter to view employees who clocked in from a specific distance (e.g., over 2 miles).
You will be redirected to another tab in your browser which displays the location of the store based on the coordinates that you have set.
