How do I switch a default email template without deleting the old one?

  • Access the Message Templates:

    • Open the Communication module.

    • Navigate to the Message Templates tab.

    • Search for the email template that you want to have replaced

  • Rename the Existing Template:

    • Locate your current email template.

    • Rename it to something else (e.g., Web Subscriber Notification - old).

  • Assign the New Template:

    • Duplicate or create your new template and give it the exact title of the previous template.

    • Save your changes.

  • Result:

    • The system will automatically use the new template for outgoing emails since the title matches the default.

    • To switch back later, simply reverse the process: rename the active one and restore the old one’s title to the original name.
