Manual Card entry: For security and compliance reasons, the manual card entry option has been discontinued in Flawless.
Users will no longer be able to type in customer credit card information directly into the POS.
This change will ensure all payment activity is secure and compliant with industry standards.
Available/Accepted alternatives for Charging a Credit Card
Instead of manual entry, credit card payments can be processed using the following methods:
Payment Terminal (In-Person):
Customers insert, tap, or swipe their card directly on the terminal. Since the customer’s physical card is required, the risk of unauthorized transactions or chargebacks is significantly reduced. The process is fast, reliable, and familiar to customers.CC Link (Remote Payment Link):
A secure payment link is sent to the customer via email or SMS, allowing them to complete the transaction safely online.
This option is essentially a more secure, user-friendly replacement for manual card entry. For a more detailed overview of CC Link usage, we recommend reviewing this in-depth article: https://support.flawlesspos.com/support/solutions/articles/150000168512-overview-of-payment-options-in-the-pos
Refund Options
Refunds can only be processed through one of the following methods:
Credit Card Processing Module:
Locate the original transaction in the system and issue the refund directly. Refunds must always correspond to a transaction already processed in Flawless. This prevents misuse and ensures refunds are properly recorded:
