Product Tagging allows you to tag multiple products directly on an image so customers can identify items and add them to cart straight from the photo. This feature is commonly used for lifestyle images, flat lays, or “Shop the Look” sections.
Product tags can be added either from the Product List or directly within the Website Builder.
Where can I add product tags?
You can add product tags in two places:
From the Product List (Inventory module)
From the Website Builder (via a column background image)
Both methods connect tagged products to an image used on your website.
How do I tag products from the Product List?
Go to Inventory from the left navigation menu.
Open Product List.
Select a product to open its details.
Click the Images tab.
Locate the Tagged Products field.
Click into the field to open the image popup.
Click anywhere on the image to place a tag.
Select the product to associate with that tag.
Repeat for additional products.
Click OK to save.
How do I use Product Tagging in the Website Builder?
Step 1: Navigate to Pages
Open the left navigation menu.
Select Website.
Click Pages.
Open an existing page or create a new one.
Step 2: Add a Row and Column
Add a Row to the page.
Inside the row, add a Column.
Step 3: Set the Image on the Column Background
Click the Column.
In the right-side properties panel, locate Background Settings.
Set Background Type to Image.
Upload or select the image you want to tag.
Important: Uploading an image to a Row will not enable product tagging.
Why must the image be added to a Column and not a Row?
Product Tagging is only available at the column level.
Columns contain the background image settings required for tagging.
The Product Tagging tool is tied to the column’s properties panel.
Rows are used only for layout and spacing and do not support product tags.
If the image is added to a row, the image will display, but the Product Tagging tools will not appear.
How do I add product tags to the image in the builder?
Select the Column with the background image.
Scroll to the bottom of the right-side properties panel.
Open Product Tags.
Click Configure Product Tags.
Click anywhere on the image to place a tag.
Select the product for that tag.
Repeat until all products are tagged.
Click OK to save.
How do I know Product Tagging is working?
Once configured correctly:
A Shop The Look button appears in the top-left corner of the image.
This confirms product tagging is active.
What should I do if Product Tagging is not working?
Confirm the image is set on a Column background, not a Row.
Make sure products are properly tagged and saved.
Verify the page is published after making changes.
