Serial number tracking is now available directly in the POS, Product Details, and Merchandise Receive. This makes it easier to manage serialized inventory and meet vendor or compliance requirements.

Add Serial Number in POS
You can now assign a serial number while ringing up a sale.
Steps
Open the Sale module
Head over to the Sale Module from your POS Admin.
Add any product to the cart.
Click “Add Serial Number” underneath the item name.
Enter the serial number.
Complete checkout as usual.
Add Serial Number in Product Details
You can now assign serial numbers as product attributes.
Steps
Go to the Product List module and open the product that you need to add a Serial Number to.
Click the "Attributes" tab.
Search for or create the “Serial Number” attribute.
Enter the value and save.
Add Serial Number in Merchandise Receive (MR)
You may also assign a serial number during the merchandise receiving process.
Steps
Start a new MR and add the item you’re receiving. For this article, we'll be doing a simple merchandise receive.
In the Extra Info column, enter the serial number.
Complete the MR as usual. (Please note: This will override the Attribute Serial Number if it was assigned previously for that SKU).
Additional Notes
You can use any of the above methods to assign serial numbers based on your workflow.
Serial numbers help track specific units across inventory, sales, and vendor reporting.
Make sure the serial number entered is correct before saving or completing the action.
