How Sales Tax Works with Zamp

In this article, we’ll walk through how to connect Zamp with Flawless POS and how sales taxes are automatically calculated, collected, and reported through the integration.

Step 1: Connect Zamp as Your Sales Tax Provider 

To begin using Zamp for tax calculations in Flawless POS:

1. Go to the Admin Module.

2. Select Account.

3. Open the Store Tab.

4. Under the Sales Tax Provider label, select Zamp.

Once set, Zamp will automatically handle all tax calculations for your transactions.

Step 2: Process a Sale in Flawless POS

Start by opening the Sale module and adding products.
For example, add two bracelets:

• One set as Pick up immediately

• One set as Pick up later

If an item is marked as pick up later, Zamp will automatically calculate and record the tax during the pick-up sale.

Step 3: Review the Tax Total

After adding items to the sale, look at the Tax total in the bottom-right corner.

• Click the tax total to view a detailed breakdown of tax components.

• Taxes are calculated based on store location, customer delivery method, and jurisdiction rules.

• For “Pick up later” items, the displayed amount is an estimate until the actual pickup occurs.

Step 4: Complete the Sale

Proceed with the sale as normal and process the payment.

After confirming the sale details, you can view the results in the Zamp Dashboard.

• Immediate items will appear right away as completed sales.

• Items marked as Pick up later will appear only once they are picked up.

Step 5: Confirm Transactions in Zamp

Open the Zamp Dashboard to verify:

• Transaction records

• Amount of tax collected

Once the “Pick up later” item is processed, the system will update the dashboard automatically.

Step 6: Compliance and Reporting

All calculations performed by Zamp are automated and included in related tax reports. This ensures accuracy and compliance with tax regulations, while reducing manual effort for staff.
