How to Pick Up a Special Order

In this guide we will discuss how to pick up a Special Order through the Point of Sale module — a crucial process when managing customized or out-of-stock items requested by customers. This tutorial is valuable for understanding how to complete the pickup process for special orders which improves inventory and sales handling.


The tutorial outlines accessing the Point of Sale module from the navigation menu and clicking the 'Special or Pickup Order' button. From the list of Ready special orders, the one ready for pickup can be selected to reveal order lines. The 'Pick up' column allows designation of the number of items for pickup.


Once the selection is satisfactory and 'OK' has been clicked, the item appears in the Cart on the right. The following process mirrors a regular sale submission. However, in the Payment section, it's notable that the amount paid during the creation of the Special Order is treated as Sales Order credit, meaning that the customer only pays the difference during pickup.


After finalizing the sale, the 'View Sale' button opens the original sale details. Here, it's crucial to note that the original payment is treated as deposit credit with the remaining amount of the order owed until it is fully paid during the pickup process.
