Why does an item still appear in Trunk Show inventory after it’s been sold?

Modified on Wed, 15 Oct at 3:24 PM

If a Trunk Show item still shows as available in inventory after being sold, it’s typically because the sale wasn’t allocated from the correct inventory source or was overridden during a Special Order sale update.

When creating a Trunk Show Sale, the item must be properly allocated from the Trunk Show warehouse. If the item isn’t on hand and the sales rep attempts to uncheck Special Order, the system displays the following prompt:

When a rep clicks Override, the system assumes the item exists but does not actually adjust the physical stock or memo allocation.
As a result, the Trunk Show warehouse may still display one piece remaining, even though it has been sold.

Once confirmed, the item will need to be manually removed or adjusted in the Trunk Show warehouse inventory.
