This article provides a guide on setting up redirects for website pages, ensuring users accessing old URLs are automatically redirected to updated versions.
You may refer to this video for a visual guide on How to Set Up Page Redirects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaYpRl0TiOY.
Step 1: Access the Page Builder
Open the left navigation menu.
Click on Website and then select Pages.
This will display the contents of your website.
Step 2: Test the Existing Page
For this example, create a Testing Page with a custom URL.
Open and test the page to ensure it loads correctly.
Step 3: Change the Page URL
Update the URL of the Testing Page by adding a number or character (e.g., add “1” at the end).
If you refresh the original URL, it will now show an error since a redirect rule has not yet been set up.
Step 4: Create a Redirect Rule
Press the Add Redirect button to create a rule.
Fill out the required fields:
From Field: Enter a forward slash followed by the old page name.
Target Field: Enter a forward slash followed by the new page name.
Once the information is complete, press OK to save the rule.
The newly created rule will appear in the list at the bottom of the page.
Step 5: Test the Redirect
Refresh the original page with the old URL.
You should now be redirected automatically to the updated URL without encountering an error.
