How to Sell a gift card through the Retail POS

This article provides a guide on selling gift cards to customers through the Point of Sale (POS) module.

Step 1: Access the POS Module

1. Open the Point of Sale module:

   • Open the left navigation menu.

   • Click on the Sale menu option.
     
      
     
     

Step 2: Set Up the Gift Card

1. In the POS, press the Gift Card field to open the creation wizard.
   
   

2. In the wizard, set up the gift card’s details:
   
    

   • Gift card message

   • Receiver’s name

   • Email address (for claiming the gift card)

   • Value and expiration date

3. If using a physical gift card, uncheck the Use auto-generated gift card number and scan your store’s gift card.
   
   

Step 3: Finalize the Sale

1. Once details are entered, click OK to add the gift card to the Cart.

2. Proceed with the checkout as you would for a normal sale.
   
    
   
   
   

3. After submitting the sale, click View Sale to see transaction details.
   
    
   
   
   

Step 4: Resend the Gift Card (if needed)

1. To resend the gift card, access the Gift Card module:

   • Open the left navigation menu.

   • Click the Store button and select the Gift Card menu option.
     
      

2. Locate the gift card, click the three-dotted button on the right, and choose Resend Gift Card.
   
   

3. Confirm the email, then press OK to send the gift card.
