In this guide we will walk you through selling a gift card to a customer using the Point of Sale module, an important offering that can help increase sales and enhance customer relationships.
Summarizing the process, it involves accessing the Point of Sale module from the navigation menu, and clicking the gift card field to launch the gift card creation wizard. You then set the gift card message, receiver's details, card value, and expiration date. For a physical gift card, you can uncheck the "Use auto-generated gift card number" and scan the available card. After reviewing and confirming the details, the gift card is added to the Cart, and usual sale processes can be followed.
Post-sale, viewing the sale provides a glimpse of the details. The 'Gift Card' module accessible from the left navigation menu under the Store button, lists all available gift cards, including the new one created. To resend the gift card, the three-dotted button on the right opens a context menu from where 'Resend Gift Card' can be selected. A final check of email correctness and a click on 'OK' sends the card.
